Little Monster has been taken to hospital.  She was fine, went off to nursery but after only 15 mins there they called to say she needed to see a doctor.   They saw the Doc who told them she needed to go to the hospital.   Temp was 39.5 and her groin and throat are swollen.  Poor kid.  They've had a really rough week, with her 'father' accusing Catherine of neglect and threatening to cut his maintenance in half, the bastard.

With any luck they won't keep her in.  I'm really looking forward to seeing her tomorrow.  I've got her a fabulously noisy toy mobile phone that looks like her Mam's, and will drive Simon up the wall!  I have to get her a 'poorly present' as well.  Who'd be an Auntie, eh?


Oh and Bug did have dropsy.  He died last night.  At least he didn't suffer.  Not getting more, Mull's obviously a carrier of something, despite not getting it herself. 

What a week.  Lisa's dad still doing well, Si's in court tomorrow, my Dad's tests are scheduled for next week (I doubt it's anything serious, he's had cancer three times so hopefully he's running on good luck!) and Mama Toad's surgery is on Monday.  Hopefully she won't get MRSA and septicaemia this time, and have a few heart attacks for good measure, because that was some seriously scary shit.

Stressed?  Me?  Nah...

Heheh cheers Ezz. I suppose if it all comes in one big bunch of shite it's better than being spread out, I can get it over with reasonably quickly!

Blushing now! I think my body is now hardwired to cope, the only sign of anything untoward is that horrible red rash I get. At least I can take a nap when it's too much, poor Lisa's stuck in her evil call centre, no napping there, although she is munching opiates.

I think that one day, if I get time, I'll write a book about it all. It'd be like the best soap opera+ the craziest reality tv show, and a tiny bit of 'Girls Gone Wild'!

i hope that simon is lucky, that your dad's tests go well, and that mama toad escapes surgery infection and heart issue free. and that you do not wind up a basket case through all of this.

Oh Basket Case status was reached in about 2004 with the great Homo-Hobo Caper, now I'm a full-on wicker shipping container!

Oh tiara and boa sounds amaaazing. It'll go well with her new Drama Queen t-shirt. The other day she said "Oh auntie lynsey I popa Dama Keen now! YAY!". I nearly wet myself laughing.

I've just had a text to say she's home and pumped with antibiotics. Poor Catherine's been through the mill, she's terrified of her losing the other kidney, a UTI would be her worst nightmare. But, no protein or blood, so fingers crossed!

yep- i know all about the wicker shipping container. i have one myself.

and yes, tiaras and feather boas make everything better. the more sparkly things on the tiara, the better. even better if they come with gaudy rings and clip on earrings, in my lovely daughter's opinion. then again, i am an evil mother who lets her daughter wear the occasional bit of eye shadow and will buy the hello kitty lip glass at MAC just because her eyes light up when she sees it. (and omg, it is orange, and looks so nice on. i never thought in a million years i would buy orange lip gloss. but, it is perfect for just a bit of color, and a great bribe to keep miss diva in line.)

and glad that she is on the mend. and i think rei needs a drama queen t-shirt. thinking on it, i think she might have one, if not, one will be procured for her upcoming birthday. i halfway wonder if i am getting one tomorrow.
